I’m Leonard Hight and I believe everyone has their own unique set of talents that they bring to the world.
Many people have goals and dreams that they would love to actualise. Often they have shelved these dreams in the deep recesses of their mind. And often because of external pressure, lack of confidence or not knowing how they can bring them to life.
It certainly was in my case. The good news is that with developments in technology and social innovations. Bringing those dreams to life is becoming easier, faster and less costly than was ever possible before in history. This helps inspire and fuel me to take action towards achieving my own goals.
But it has not always been the case that I have inspired goals or any goals for that matter. In fact, I wasted many years with no idea what so ever I wanted to do with my life. Nor was I even trying to figure, it out for myself. Eventually, I did figure it out. Since then I’ve spent much time and money learning and applying what I’ve learnt to follow my dream. The more that I learn the more I want to share what I have learnt.
I created Lifetranz for people working in jobs who are looking to take action and follow their dreams. So you can learn what worked for me and get on the path to your dreams faster than I did. I believe your best path to achieve your dreams comes from creating your own home based business. A home based business gives you the income and flexibility you often need to realise your dreams. It is not without its challenges but whatever you do there will always be challenges.
An Unlikely Start
I was a shy kid, I had low self-esteem and I wasn’t popular and had few friends. At school, I was one of those kids that did the smallest amount of school work and only scrap by to only just pass the exams. From my first day at school, I had decided I didn’t want to be at school. As I was growing up I did not occur to me to start thinking of what I wanted to do with my life when I left school. Because this was already predetermined for me by my parents.
Upon leaving school I started working on a dairy farm in a job organised by my father. So that I would follow the path generations in my family before me had followed. That of being a dairy farmer so someday I could take over the family farms. In the beginning, I didn’t mind the 10 hour plus days 7 days a week. Because it was so much better than having to go to school which from first day I had decided I did not want to attend.
By my second year, the appeal of dairy farming was starting to wear off. Many of my schoolmates had better-paying jobs than me and had weekends to themselves. On a good day, the time I had to myself was between 6:30 pm to 5:00 am the next day when I started work again. In this time I would also have to sleep. By my third year, I was hating it. I mustered all my courage and took a stand against my parents’ wishes. Brought up in a household taught to avoid confrontation at all cost it was was a nerve-wracking thing to do. I then began busily looking for another job, any job that would give me my weekends back.
The first job that I got was one of the least desirable jobs imaginable in a poultry processing plant. Having no goal or idea of what I wanted to achieve with my life it set me on a path of aimlessly going through many, many jobs. Even though consciously I wasn’t looking for what I wanted to do with my life. Somewhere buried in the deep recesses of my subconscious there must have been a tiny part of me looking.
The Seed Was Sown
I ended up living in London for several years. In that time I had a housemate who was into personal development, healthy eating and held the idea you could actually enjoy your life. Which was at the time for me was the polar opposite of my life. For some time I was stubborn and dismissed these ideas as just hippie crap. After a few more years of my way of living and thinking not working for me, I decided to test this hippie crap out.
At first, I dabbled a bit trying different things but nothing seemed to work for me. In large part, this was due to my poor physical health and state of mind because of what I had been doing up until then. Then I experienced the first thing which worked for me. So I continued dabbling bit more. Over time I found a few other things which worked for me and continued to dabbling.
Meanwhile, I continued cycling through jobs still not finding any long-term fulfilment. I hadn’t found any job as being the one that I wanted to devoted my life to doing. While dabbling I attended a Mind Body Spirit Festival. At one of the stands, I got introduced to a home based business idea. From this encounter, I began to see how I could transform my life. The challenge was I would need to transform my poor health and gain self confidence. But for some reason, this did not deter me and many dreams and goals soon developed. I had at last something I wanted to do with my life and work towards.
By now I had grown to love education was spending time and money taking courses, reading books. The idea of having my own home based business only further fueled this. The more I learned and applied the more wanted to learn and share what I had learnt.
It’s Now or Never
When I hit 50 there was an increasing sense of urgency to start my home based business and bring my goal to life. I liken this to being something like what some women experience as they get older and have not yet had children. Now if I didn’t get serious and take the consistent action I had been lacking, my life would pass. My selfishness in not taking action and facing the challenges. Would mean that no one would profit from what I have learned over the years on what works to transform your life.
Everyone has their own unique set of talents that they bring to the world. By creating a home based business I believe you will be able to share those talents with the world. Either through your business or with the income and time freedom you will create with your business. In the process, you achieve your goals!
